Hi! Thanks for visiting ADHD Life. We are so excited to have you. In May of 2019, after many ups and downs, this website launched with one driving purpose:
A concentrated effort to present a positive outlook and to spotlight the unique strengths of ADHDers.
Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder or ADD/ADHD is a chronic mental health condition. Its primary symptoms include difficulty directing and maintaining attention, hyperactivity, and impulsiveness. More than 3 million cases present per year in the United States.
ADHD affects children, teenagers, and adults. It is common for ADHDers to experience co-occuring disorders like severe depression or chronic anxiety. Treating physicians are often psychiatrists who work with counselors and therapists. Successful treatment plans generally include a combination of prescription medication and therapy, but there are many ways to manage ADHD symptoms.
ADD/ADHD is a mental illness, but it is also a chronic condition that requires a positive, lifestyle outlook.
ADHD is a challenging topic to discuss because so much negativity, stigma, and disbelief surround it. ADHD Life strives to tear down stigmas, present facts, and bring positivity to this topic. After all, those of us who live with ADHD, or love someone who lives with it, face enough inner negativity, which is why it’s time for a change in tone.
ADHD Life’s mission is to bring positivity, kindness, joy, and support to ADHDers as they discover and adopt the ADHD life that fits them best.
The ultimate goal of this website is to help ADHDers explore and achieve healthy, happy lifestyles.
