My name is Tamra. I’m local to Kannapolis, NC. My son and I are ADHDers. Since our diagnosees, it’s been a wild ride.
ADHD Life is my passion project. I’m constantly looking for local resources to assist the ADHD community.
Welcome to ADHD Life
A lifestyle blog dedicated to Attention Deficit Disorder education and awareness, helping you live your best life with ADHD. Whether you’re an ADHDer or know one, this blog is being built as a resource for you.
Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder or ADHD is a chronic mental health condition
Its primary symptoms include difficulty directing and maintaining attention, hyperactivity, and impulsiveness. More than 3 million cases present per year in the United States.
ADHD affects children, teenagers, and adults. It’s common for ADHDers to experience co-occuring disorders like severe depression or chronic anxiety. Treating physicians are often psychiatrists who work with counselors and therapists. Successful treatment plans generally include a combination of prescription medication and therapy, but there are many ways to manage ADHD symptoms.
ADHD is a challenging topic to discuss because so much negativity, stigma, disbelief, and misinformation surround it. ADHD Life strives to tear down stigmas, present facts, and bring positivity to this topic. After all, those of us who live with ADHD, or love someone who lives with it, face enough inner negativity.
ADHD Life strives to bring positivity, kindness, joy, and support to ADHDers as they discover and adopt the ADHD life that fits them best.
A Kannapolis Community Resource
ADHD Life is working to build a local community-focused resource to raise awareness, educate, and assist ADHDers in finding solutions and support both locally and beyond.
